What Are You Waiting For?

We are well into the New Year as I am writing this column. Has 2007 started off well for you? Are you looking forward to the rest of the year? Or are you a little disappointed and frustrated to be in the same place, doing the same thing as you have been doing?

I have some encouraging news for you. Every indication that we have seen here at PQNDT leads us to the conclusion that there is no slowdown in NDT hiring in sight. In 2006 we saw things trending positively upward. In 2007 we have already seen a big surge in both job openings and in candidates seeking new positions.

This is good news for the NDT industry, as it indicates a continued growth in business and activity. It's even better news for NDT professionals who may be dissatisfied with their current job, or who are eager to improve their position and career with a move to a new job.

What all this means is that you do not have to settle for a job that is just "OK." There are more opportunities for advancement in the NDT industry now than there has ever been. All you have to do is take the simple step of starting the search process. (Hopefully you'll take that first step at www.pqndt.com!)
